故事发生在岸边的柳林。 确切地说，格雷厄姆笔下的这群小伙伴，其实写的就是英国乡绅。那里风光旖旎，他们或泛舟湖上，或围炉夜话，虽偶有争执，却从不会真正记恨对方。故事的基调是优雅的，描写的笔触是细腻的。 作者不仅优美细腻地写景绘物，还生动俏皮地描摹书中角色的丰富内心，几乎不动声色地写出一系列复杂微妙的情感体验，时时刻刻牵动读者的心。 插图、文字，十足精致的版本。 附1001对本书的评价

这本拜托朋友从美亚购入，哪怕为了图，也受不了大白话的文字摆在旁边煞风景。 小伙伴说：“英潘的绘画多用类似干扫的笔触来体现，彰显了个性，却过于朦胧。遇到对的题材（比如《柳林风声》），还是挺和谐讨喜。放在同系列比如《绿野仙踪》里，就不那么好看了。” 不过，总的来说英潘的图我还是爱的，买了一大堆。 要说柳林这本书的内容，作者其实是在依托动物写英伦绅士。原著用词典雅繁复，难度超过普通成人畅销书。当成浅显的童书来读，非要追求大白话的我也拦不住，但原版并非如此。 个人建议：喜好刺激情节的慎入，这本描写颇多，读着并无太多爽感。

这本我其实先买的中文版。译文用的台版，译者删改较大，不喜。平胶方本，翻完一遍居然掉页，彻底无语…… 后来入了精装原版，才知道： 1.这本书是16开的。 2.中文版引进的图不全，且不少大图给缩成了小图。 还是大本香啊！！总的来说，英格•莫尔的配图，角色部分不怎么打动我，但背景和细节处真是很有感觉。粉图的话，这本建议买原版！ 【缺点】：全本被英格•莫尔改编过，所以这本原版的文字是有删改的！非常非常遗憾！
