What’s Kipper doing?

Kipper在做什么？

He’s got his apron on and he is playing with mud.

他带着围裙，正在玩泥巴呢。

What’s he making?

他正在做什么呢？

He is making a mud pie with his shovel, bucket, watering pot, and a plate.

他正在用铲子、小桶、洒水壶和一个盘子，做泥巴派。 

What does the mud pie look like? Let’s see.

泥巴派长什么样呢？我们来看看。

The children are playing in the backyard.

小朋友们都在院子里玩。

Kipper is holding mud in his hand, and he is going to put the mud into the bucket.

Kipper手里拿着泥巴，他要把泥巴放在小桶里。

Biff and Chip are practicing tennis.

Biff和Chip在练习打网球。

What are Mum and Dad doing?

爸爸和妈妈在做什么呢？

Mum is watering the plants, and Dad is cleaning.

妈妈正在浇水，爸爸在做清洁。

Look at Kipper.
看看Kipper。

He’s got a bowl of sand in his left hand and a watering pot in his right hand.

他左手拿着一碗沙子，右手拿着一个洒水壶。

Kipper puts in water. He mixes in sand.

Kipper倒了点水进去，又加了一些沙子。 

Biff and Chip are still playing tennis.

Biff和Chip还在玩网球。

Biff is trying very hard.

Biff打得很卖力。 

What’s Floppy doing?

Floppy在做什么？

He is chasing a butterfly.

他在追蝴蝶呢。

Kipper is busy with his work.
Kipper还忙着他的事情。

Look! He is tipping the mud out to the plate and patting it flat.

看！他正在把泥巴倒在盘子上，还把它拍平。

Can you see the mud pie?

你看到泥巴派了吗？

Well, not really.

没有看到。

Kipper has finished his mud pie.

Kipper做好了泥巴派。

He is holding the plate and trying to show the mud pie to everyone.

他端着盘子，想把泥巴派给大家看一看。

However, he tripped over the tube and fell.

但是，他被这个管子绊倒了。

The mud pie fell from the plate as well.

泥巴派也从盘子里掉出来了。

Oh! The mud pie landed on Floppy’s head.

噢！泥巴派掉到Floppy的头上了。

Now it looks like a hat.

现在它看起来像个帽子。

Biff and Chip are laughing, but Floppy doesn’t think it’s funny at all.

Biff和Chip在笑，但是Floppy并不觉得好笑。

Floppy feels shocked!

Floppy一脸震惊。

​很多孩子都喜欢玩泥巴、橡皮泥、粘土之类的东西，有哪些相关的表达呢？

我们来玩粘土吧。

Let’s play with clay.

你要做什么形状呢？

Which shape/What do you want to make?

用手紧紧地按下去。

Press it firmly with your hands.

我们把它捏成圆形。

Let’s make it into a round shape.

你可以用模具作出不同的形状。

You can use the molds to have different shapes.

你满手都是泥。

Your hands are all muddy.

小心不要把泥粘到衣服上。

Be careful not to get the mud on your clothes.

特别提醒

1. 每个宝宝的年龄不一样，基础不一样，不需要完全按照以上文本来讲。如果孩子感兴趣，就多说一点，不感兴趣就少说一点，都没问题。

2. 只要孩子理解，或看图能明白，或家长可以用肢体语言或者指物的方式让孩子明白，就不要翻译。

3. 如果实在不能理解，可以适当解释，但不需要字对字翻译。
